It allows in circuit <b>programming of FLASH memories</b> via a <b>serial RS232 link</b> to a target hardware built around a <a href="http://www.infineon.com"> <u>Infineon</u></a> <a href="./p509.pdf"><u>C509-L Microcontroller</u></a>. The difference to other similar tools is that there is <b>no boot sector required</b> in the FLASH memory which controls the programming of the other sectors. This boot software is integrated in the <a href="http://www.infineon.com"><u>Infineon</u></a> C509 MCU and is accessible in a special memory model called bootstrap mode.
